Question 1

What is a Brain and do I need one?

Accepted Answer

A Brain is a knowledge base your Blue uses to answer questions accurately. You can upload documents, PDFs, or paste in text. It's optional — Blues work without one — but adding a Brain makes answers far more specific to your business.

Question 2

Can my Blue book appointments?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Appointment Booking outbound Blue role is built for this. Connect your Google or Microsoft calendar during setup, and your Blue will check availability and book slots directly into your calendar during calls.

Question 3

How does my Blue know about my business?

Accepted Answer

Blues pull from two sources: your Business Profile (name, industry, hours, location) and your Brain (a knowledge base you build from documents, PDFs, or pasted text). The more detail you provide in both, the more accurately your Blue will represent your business on calls.

Question 4

Can I use my existing phone number with BlueSales?

Accepted Answer

You can import your own Twilio phone number into BlueSales. Go to Dashboard → Phone Numbers, click "Import your own number", and follow the steps. Note: the number must be in your Twilio account and in E.164 format (e.g. +14155551234).

Question 5

What happens to my number if I delete a Blue?

Accepted Answer

Your phone number is unlinked from the Blue but stays in your account. You can reassign it to a different Blue anytime from Dashboard → Phone Numbers.
